Ray of Hope Summer Day Program

Cost: $1200 (partial scholarships are available)

Ray of Hope is a six-week summer day program unlike any other in Whatcom or Skagit counties.

This program serves children ages 5 – 12 who have experienced difficult life circumstances, and exhibit emotional & behavioral issues as a result, preventing them from assimilating into more traditional summer camps.

Kids are encouraged and empowered through outdoor recreational and physical-fitness related activities, music and arts enrichments, daily off-site field trips, and small group conversations that encourage and support positive coping skills and self-management. To ensure the success and safety of the program for all in attendance, Ray of Hope’s staff-to-child ratio is no more than 1:4.  This is a program for kids who most need, yet seldom receive, a safe, supportive and fun summer experience.

Ray of Hope runs for six consecutive weeks each summer from 9am – 3pm.  Extended Care is available beginning at 8:30am and ending at 5:00pm for those who are transporting their own children.  For those requiring transportation, Rebound vans pick up at designated spots around the country.
